Former indian captain Anil Kumble appointed as the head coach of India.Announced by BCCI on thursday in Dharamshala.He has been appointed for one year.His first assignment will be four test match tour of West Indies.
Kumble is the first Indian to be appointed as the full time head coach of India. He is selected from 57 candidates who have applied for the position.He does not have the experience but he has been mentor in IPL seasons and he has been elected as president for Karnataka State Cricket Association in November 2010 served as chairman of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore and also headed the BCCI's technical committee from 2012 to 2015. (Anil Kumble's career as a cricker-He played 132 test matches and score 2506 runs 1 century and 5 half centuries. And taking 619 wickets.and He played 271 ODI's and score 938 runs and taking 337 wickets.......................) Kumble has also served in administrative roles after his retirement
